Maker Resource: Pumping Station: One

Pumping Station: One is Chicago’s oldest and largest makerspace. Founded in 2009, this 11,000 square foot volunteer-driven workshop boasts over 500 members in its community makerspace. Membership is open to all, with a mission to foster a collaborative environment in which people can explore and create at the intersections of art, technology, and craft. PS:1 offers shared tools for woodworking, metalworking, jewelry-making, crafts, electronics, digital media, virtual reality, and more. PS:1 also offers access to industrial manufacturing tools like laser cutters, CNC mills, and 3D printers. Members can gain access to the makerspace 24/7 for $50 dollars a month.
