•••About the Sexy Super Swap Series•••
What the heck is this? While working at a comic book shop I have come across a lot of comic book covers that just make me roll my eyes. They always feature a female character in a very revealing outfit and ridiculous pose. I thought it would be fun to take those characters and swap them with their male counterparts. In this instance I chose to draw Loki as Enchantress from the 1992 trading card Marvel Masterpieces #21 thus creating the parody, Lokantress!

For every sexy super swap sold, fifty cents will be donated to Sarah’s Circle, a non-profit organization with a mission of serving women who are homeless or in need of a safe space in Chicago.

Darling Homebody

Darling Homebody is a small business by Chicago artist Nicole Jakus, offering original stickers, pins, prints and gifts for sweet and salty goths, gays, girls and theys. With the intention of allowing people to create a space where being your authentic self is not only encouraged, but also inspirational for others to do the same.

If you don't already know, my name is Nicole (She/Her) and I live in Chicago with three hairy roommates, my cats Socks & Butter and my boyfriend James. The art that I make is usually either very cute or a little spooky and sometimes my weird sense of humor ends up showing through (especially with some of the item descriptions that I’ve been coming up with lately). It really just boils down to whatever inspires me and makes me excited to share with other people. I think the hardest part about transitioning from hobby to business was resisting the urge to just give everything away for free to people who shared my enthusiasm. Because that’s what keeps me going, the fact that other people can relate to and also find joy in what I create even though they weren’t actively a part of the creation process. My goal is to one day live off of my art and I will keep trying until that dream comes true. Please join me in this journey, any amount of support makes a big difference!
